Republican Ashley Perez-Biliskov’s campaign to succeed her brother, Speaker Daniel Perez, in House District 116 next year has notched its first major endorsement.

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, Florida’s former Governor, said he’s backing Perez-Biliskov for the job and believes she’ll be “a great champion” for HD 116 residents.

“She is committed to making her community stronger and is focused on conservative solutions,” he said. “I look forward to her big win next year!”

Perez-Biliskov is currently unopposed. She raised nearly $180,000 by June 30 with help from political committees, several House Republicans and a fleet of notable Florida businesses.
