Fresh off a court victory that kept Miami’s next election on the 2025 calendar, former City Manager Emilio González is adding an endorsement from a man who holds the record for fastest UFC knockout.
Miami mixed martial arts star Jorge Masvidal is backing González for Mayor, saying González’s military service and win over city officials who tried to delay the election to 2026 prove he’s “the ultimate fighter for our city.”
“I always knew he was the right guy for the job,” Masvidal said. “Seeing him go toe-to-toe with City Hall to protect our vote? I respect that even more.”
