Family, friends, colleagues and admirers will soon convene in Boynton Beach to commemorate Democratic Rep. Joe Casello, who died last month at 73.
The event is at 5:30 p.m. on Aug. 20 at the Copperpoint Brewing Company.
“Please join us for a drink as we joyously remember the life of Joe,” a flyer for the occasion says.
Casello served in the Air Force before becoming a firefighter and an electrician. He moved to Florida in 2009, serving on the Boynton Beach Commission before winning a House seat in 2018.
In February, he announced his candidacy for the Palm Beach County Commission.
