The Miami Dolphins open the preseason schedule on Sunday in Chicago against the Bears (1 p.m. ET, CBS Miami).
Earlier this week, head coach Mike McDaniel said the first preseason game would be particularly important for the young players who would have the opportunity to show “the drive, the will and the mindset to find a place on the team.”
That would include draft picks like the first-round selection, defensive tackle Kenneth Grant, and second-round pick, guard Jonah Savaiinaea, who could both start for Miami this season.
Just how many veteran starters will play Sunday remains to be seen.
