Parkland Rep. Christine Hunschofsky has been stacking honors in recent months.

The Florida Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers named Hunschofsky its “Elected Official of the Year,” citing her advocacy and leadership on issues impacting the social work profession.

The Florida League of Cities then gave her a 2025 “Legislative Appreciation Award,” citing her work during the 2025 Legislative Session to protect the local decision-making of municipalities.

Hunschofsky, who is set to lead House Democrats during the 2026-28 term, dedicated several bill slots this year to social work-focused legislation.

She also successfully carried and supported numerous city-specific measures.
