Gov. Ron DeSantis has appointed two new members to the Miami Dade College District Board of Trustees.
One is former state Rep. José Félix Díaz, a partner at Ballard Partners and Panza Maurer Law. He’s also a co-founder of the Miami Tech Summit.
The other is longtime county police detective Juan Segovia, a decorated cold case investigator and hostage negotiator.
They join reappointed trustees Michael Bileca, a state lawmaker-turned-charter school nonprofit executive, and Hialeah Chief Operating Officer Ismare Monreal.
The District Board sets policy and oversees the administration of Miami Dade College, one of America’s largest undergraduate institutions by enrollment.
