Three prominent South Florida homeowners’ association lawyers have departed Becker & Poliakoff to join rival Association Law Group (ALG).
Veteran lawyers Michael Góngora, Lilliana Farinas-Sabogal and Adam Cervera bring decades of experience advising condominium, homeowners’ and cooperative associations on governance, litigation and regulatory compliance.
Góngora and Farinas-Sabogal are board-certified by the Florida Bar in condominium and planned development law. ALG said the hires strengthen its general counsel, litigation and advisory capacity as it targets a larger client base.
Góngora, a former Miami Beach Vice Mayor, and Cervera, a Broward County School Board member appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis, add public-sector insight.
