Mark your calendars, short-term South Florida job seekers.
The Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department’s annual “Summer Jobs Fair” is set to go down Sunday and Monday, 8 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Tamiami Park Fairgrounds.
Interested applicants 17 and older can apply in person to work as counselors and lifeguards for the county’s award-winning Fit2Play summer camp, which annually serves some 900 children, as well as other, potentially longer-lasting, positions with the department.
Candidates will be interviewed onsite. All positions require drug/alcohol and criminal background screenings. Lifeguards must also pass skill and physical tests.
