Report nesting horseshoe crab to FWRI

Did you know that the blood of the horseshoe crab is used to ensure that drugs and medicines are bacteria-free? They also play a vital role in the food chain that helps maintain a balanced ocean ecosystem.

With these, the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission strongly campaigns for the protection of these ancient creatures thru the Horseshoe Crab Fishery Management Plan.

The plan calls for improved monitoring and identification of spawning sites – and this is where your help comes in. Immediately report any sightings of nesting activity thru the online survey, FWC Reporter app, email at [email protected], or 866-252-9326.
