February was a rough month for two of three South Florida counties that saw sharp drops in home sales in year-over-year figures.
The Elliman Report found Broward and Miami-Dade saw significant decreases last month compared to 2024.
Broward was hit hardest with a 53.3% decrease in signed contracts for single-family homes. It was the second month in a row where year-over-year comparisons were bleak for the county.
Miami-Dade’s year-over-year comparison was nearly as bad, with a 45.9% decline in single-family home sales.
Palm Beach was the only South Florida county to register an increase, with a 13.2% uptick compared to February 2024.
