Miami’s Democratic legislative delegation has already lost a candidate who complained he wasn’t getting enough support, but one unopposed Senator is stepping up with help.
Sen. Jason Pizzo pledged $500,000 of the $743,000 he holds to help 27 Democrats, who are either incumbents facing a challenge or challenging an incumbent.
“Now is the time for all of us to do what we can to get real Democrats (re)elected to the FL State Senate and House,” he said.
Senate Democratic Leader Lauren Book, who’s facing a contest for the first time in her legislative career, was among those tweeting her thanks.
