West Palm Beach Mayor Keith James won’t reach term limits until 2027, but a race to decide his successor is already taking shape.
West Palm Beach Vice Mayor Christina Lambert announced that after seven years on the City Commission, she is running for Mayor.
So is Palm Beach County Commissioner Gregg Weiss, who confirmed his candidacy the same day Lambert declared hers.
Both said traffic and government transparency are top campaign issues.
Lambert also prioritized parks and public safety. She has an early edge in fundraising, $252,000 for an associated political committee and two first responder unions are backing her.
