A former legislative candidate for House District 99 has joined the campaign of Naomi Esther Blemur, the Democratic nominee for state Agriculture Commissioner.
Elijah Manley lost for the second time this year on Aug. 23 to Rep. Daryl Campbell in a Primary to represent the central Broward legislative district that covers Fort Lauderdale, Plantation and Wilton Manors. The two were competing in a Special Primary earlier in the year.
“I’m joining @NaomiforFL as Statewide LBGTQIA+ coordinator + Progressive Outreach,” Manley tweeted. “I’m working to unite key coalitions behind our nominee to foster trust between the LGBTQ+ community and the campaign.”
