Billy Corben and Alfred Spellman of Miami media studio Rakontur have at least one more “Cocaine Cowboys” documentary in them.
The duo told Axios a fourth entry is coming, a miniseries featuring Carlos Lehder titled “The Last of the Cocaine Cowboys.”
A Medellín cartel co-founder, Lehder bribed officials and helped Pablo Escobar lead the cartel in the ’70s and ’80s. He was depicted in the film “Blow” and Netflix series “Narcos.”
Lehder was sentenced to life in prison in 1988, but then-U.S. Attorney General William Barr promised him early release for testifying against Manuel Noriega. Barr followed through in 2020.
