Rene Pedrosa, a former spokesperson for Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, is heading to federal prison on child pornography charges.

Pedrosa was sentenced to six years behind bars Monday for receiving images of a minor’s privates on his cellphone.

He lured the 16-year-old boy to City Hall in 2019 with the promise of a job. He groped and later solicited explicit photos of the youth.

Pedrosa pleaded guilty in May. Prosecutors dropped other charges punishable by 15 additional years.

Miami Commissioners approved paying $100,000 to the teen in 2021.

Suarez, now running for President, said Monday his thoughts are with the victim.
