Regalado, a Miami-Dade County Commissioner, snagged a new gig as the Director of St. Thomas University’s (STU) Institute for Ethical Leadership. STU launched the institute in 2019. “Raquel’s appointment underlies our emphasis on the continued growth of one of our most successful programs,” said STU President David Armstrong.
Loser: Rene Pedrosa
Pedrosa, a former reporter who previously worked as an aide to Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, is going to prison due to child pornography charges. Following a guilty plea, he’s facing a six-year sentence plus 15 years of supervision and a requirement he register as a sex offender.
