Negative ad targets potential Republican voters in SD 35 open Primary

Only one other Senate District swung more heavily for Joe Biden than Senate District 35, according to MCI Maps, which shows the President garnered 74% of the vote in the southwest Broward County district. But Barbara Sharief is apparently looking to make the most of how Republicans can vote in her open Primary contest against Senate Democratic Leader Lauren Book.

Her negative campaign ads are running on WIOD, which also schedules conservative Sean Hannity.

The ad features clips of Book speaking about “dictator” Gov. Ron DeSantis and then the narrator says Book wants Republican votes even though “she hates them.”
