Jared Moskowitz co-founds ‘Sneaker Caucus’ to boost bipartisanship through love of footwear

Democratic U.S. Rep. Jared Moskowitz is known for his stylish array of Nike Air Jordans, which he wears in lieu of dress shoes in Washington.
He’s putting that offbeat style to new use with the “Congressional Sneaker Caucus,” a coalition he’s forming with Republican U.S. Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer to foster bipartisan cooperation between federal lawmakers.

Moskowitz hinted at starting the caucus over the last few months, during which he took several Republican colleagues to lunch.

“We must show the American people that you can adamantly disagree with your neighbors and still act normal,” he said at the time.
