Donald Trump’s second son now carries a badge – and the authority to make arrests – two counties north of his Palm Beach County home.
St. Lucie County Sheriff Keith Pearson this month swore in Eric Trump as a Special Deputy.
The “special” designation, by Florida law, allowed Trump to be deputized without first undergoing police training. It also conferred to him “full powers of arrest.”
Trump, a Jupiter resident with no law enforcement background, posted several pictures online of his swearing-in and new badge.
“I have always wanted to become a Sheriff!” he wrote before adding two hashtags: “#BackTheBlue” and “#SheriffTrump.”
