A Fort Lauderdale fifth-grader at Calvary Christian Academy has been recognized as the state’s top safety patroller.
Olivia West has been named “AAA School Safety Patroller of the Year” for the 2021-22 school year in Florida.
When she’s not helping people across the street, Olivia volunteers on food drives and serves on mission trips in China, Taiwan and Thailand. She’s one of thousands of students in the state who participate in the AAA Safety Patrol Program.
A spokeswoman for AAA called Olivia “a tremendous representative” for the school safety patrol program.
Olivia is also involved in sports, chorus and drama.
