The Florida Panthers are skating into Game 4 of the series tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs with a chance to clinch the series.
After a middling regular season, it seems improbable that the Panthers are on the verge of the Eastern Conference Finals.
Panthers radio analyst Bill Lindsay, who’s also a former Florida Panther, chalks it up to the psychological effects of beating the team perched atop the National Hockey League.
“For this team, Game 7 against Boston is where it turned,” Lindsay told the Miami Herald. “You knock off the giants and you’re on this emotional roller coaster.”
