Jared Moskowitz is happy where he is.
Shortly after rumors spread that he was a leading candidate to run the Federal Emergency Management Agency under President-elect Donald Trump, the Parkland Congressman said he’s flattered, but uninterested.
“I appreciate the speculation but I am staying in Congress and running for re-election,” he wrote online. “To be clear, nothing was ever offered.”
Moskowitz would’ve been a good fit for the job he preemptively turned down. He worked for nearly a decade at AshBritt, a Deerfield Beach-based emergency management company, before heading up the Florida Division of Emergency Management under Gov. Ron DeSantis.
