The Broward County School Board runoff election presents voters with a big unknown.
Incumbent at-large member Donna Korn is one of the four Board members Governor Ron DeSantis suspended for “incompetence, neglect of duty and misuse of authority” after a grand jury report.
Korn, however, says she believes that DeSantis will not suspend her again if voters re-elect her. But her rival, Allen Zeman, says that Korn’s re-election will result in her suspension – a vote for her is a vote for a DeSantis appointee on the board for another two years. The Governor’s office has remained silent on the issue.
