Days after two dozen Generation Z activists urged her to run, former Miami Sen. Annette Taddeo confirmed she is vying for Florida Democratic Party Chair.
Taddeo announced her bid Jan. 19, appropriately, on TikTok.
“After much reflection, I’m ready to take up this challenge and do the hard work,” she said. “Our party is at a critical juncture. We must pave a new way forward together.”
Taddeo’s announcement comes amid upheaval in FDP leadership following the resignation of Chair Manny Diaz, who oversaw a crushing 2022 midterm where Democrats lost seats up and down the ballot in historically liberal strongholds.
