Just days ahead of the 2024 Legislative Session, JetBlue launched direct flight service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Tallahassee International Airport. The news is welcome for those looking to avoid the seven-hour drive between South Florida and the capital. The first flight landed in Tallahassee on Jan. 4.
Loser: Joe Carollo
The U.S. Marshal’s Office began seizing Carollo’s assets in order to ensure that he pays out a $63.5 million judgment in a federal civil case. A jury last year agreed with two local businessmen who sued Carollo, arguing the Miami Commissioner illegally retaliated against them.
