In August, we featured an article about Miami-Dade putting a county-wide restriction in place for shared mobility options like mopeds and bikes. Well, after several months with a ban in place, Miami-Dade County eased restrictions on micromobility devices like mopeds, scooters and bicycles just last week.
Shortly after, the City of Miami extended a micromobility pilot program for another six months. Moped companies such as Revel and electric scooter operators such as Lyft will surely be entering the market soon.
This news is big news for the estimated 90,000 households in the county who don’t have access to a vehicle.
