Two Palm Beach County municipalities selected new leaders in runoffs this month.

In 5,357-resident Pahokee, voters replaced Council member Sara Perez with community activist Sanquetta Cowan-Williams.

They also chose retired prison warden Everett McPherson over business owner Monique Gordon to replace Councilman Juan “Johnny” Gomez, who placed third in last month’s General Election.

In Wellington, voters picked insurance executive Amanda Silvestri over former Mayor Bob Margolis and Palm Beach Hispanic Chamber CEO Maria Atuña over church youth director Shelly Albright.

Silvestri replaced Councilman Michael Drahos. Atuña succeeded Michael Napoleone, who vacated his seat last month for a successful mayoral bid.
