Giving new life to the pencil

Despite advances in technology, the pencil is still relevant today. A new study in Japan shows that we retain information better when writing it down than typing on a laptop, phone or tablet. Photo via SproutWorld on Facebook.

One of the most influential communication tools dates back 450 years. Kids learn to write with it and adults still use it to take notes, doodle and draw – the pencil.
