Now more than ever, Florida Power & Light’s 5.6 million customers can count on light when they the flip a switch, according to a report the Juno Beach-based utility recently filed with the Public Service Commission.
The state’s largest utility had its “best ever” reliability report, according to a release from the company. That conclusion was reached by measuring key industry metrics such as outages, service interruptions and momentary flickers, the 2021 report concludes.
Florida Power & Light attributes its 45% improvement in these metrics over the last decade to company’s continuing investments to make the energy grid stronger, smarter and more storm-resilient, the release said.
