Rep. Rick Roth hits term limits next year, and two first-time Republican candidates are running to succeed him in House District 94, which runs from West Palm Beach to Belle Glade.
One is Roth’s 27-year-old former campaign manager, Jon Carter, who’s seeking office after years as a government staffer. He’s currently Chief of Staff for Palm Beach Commissioner Sara Baxter and chairs the Boca Raton Community Advisory Council.
He faces 39-year-old psychologist and consultant Gabrielle Fox. Her personal website said she began researching politicians and political history “due to a big fat red pill when Killary tried running for President.”
