by The 100 Companies

Take a trip to Christmas past in the decorated Historic Stranahan House Museum. Learn how many holiday traditions started and how the pioneers celebrated Christmas in the early days of Fort Lauderdale at the turn of the 20th century.

Stranahan House was built as a trading post in 1901 and converted into a residence for the Stranahan family in 1906. The family started a stagecoach line that ran from Lake Worth to Miami and is said to have played a key role in the founding of Fort Lauderdale.

Details about guided and self-guided tours through the historic home are available here.
