Your library card might be a ticket to adventure, as local public libraries have passes that will get you in free to 175 of the state’s parks through Sept. 12, except for the tourist destination parks such as Weeki Wachie Springs State Park.
It’s part of an effort to encourage summer reading and discovery of the state’s natural and cultural resources.
“It’s a staycation perk allowing our residents the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of our state,” said Palm Beach County Mayor Robert Weinroth.
Each library location has passes that must be checked out and returned like a book.
