Two-term incumbent vying for re-election in new territory

by carlislewillard

Republican Rep. Mike Caruso’s bid for a third term in new territory has drawn a challenge from a Democrat vying for her first elected office in north Palm Beach County’s House District 87.

Caruso, a certified public accountant, is up against Democrat Sienna Osta, a West Palm Beach lawyer. But if the amount of support she has raised is any indication, he’ll be rolling to re-election in a district slightly north of where he was first elected.

Caruso moved north after redistricting put him his longtime Delray Beach home in a more Democratic-leaning district that also includes Democratic Rep. Joe Casello.
