An Aventura woman has raised nearly $1 million in one week on GoFundMe to help Donald Trump cover a massive civil court judgment.
Motivational speaker Elena Cardona launched the page after a New York Supreme Court judge ordered the ex-President to pay $355 million for lying about his wealth to dupe banks, investors and others.
“This is more than a legal fund,” said Cardona, who co-authored the well-reviewed 2022 book “Build an Empire: How to Have it All” with her private equity fund manager husband, Grant Cardone. “This is about making a stand.”
By Thursday, the page had 17,200 donations.
