Florida lawmakers unanimously approved legislation to finally reveal how Jeffrey Epstein avoided appropriate punishment and continued operating an underage sex-trafficking ring for more than a decade after his first arrest.
Democratic Sen. Tina Polsky and Republican Rep. Peggy Gossett-Seidman tailored the measure to apply only to sealed grand jury evidence and testimony in Epstein’s 2006 case.
He served only 13 months in jail after the grand jury heard from just one of many women and girls who said he abused them.
Gov. Ron DeSantis said he will sign the measure, which gives the court discretion over what to make public.
