Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Parkland on Saturday to talk about the Joe Biden administration’s commitment to gun safety.
It’s her 11th trip to Florida.
Harris, who oversees the White House Office for Gun Violence Prevention, will meet with families of some of the 14 students and three teachers a former student killed on Valentine’s Day 2018.
The massacre inspired a Florida law that banned under-21 gun sales, mandated a three-day waiting period for gun purchases and expanded school and community safety measures.
Harris will likely discuss gun reforms from her administration, including the 2022 Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.
