Face your fears in the “Dead Woods” if you dare

Organizers are promising a “spooktacular” occasion as the North Jupiter Flatwoods Natural Area becomes a “Hike Through the Dead Woods.”

The free, fright-filled fun starts at 7 p.m., at the area contained within the Jupiter Community Park, 3377 Church St., Jupiter.

All available tickets have been claimed for the event that the County Environmental Resources Management Department manages, but those who want to face their fears should check back here for cancelations or come early to wait in the stand-in line.

Those who scare easily – loud noises, lunging characters and random body parts – might want to skip this one.
