Silvia Castellanos, Director of External Affairs for Banyan Community Health Center, is the newest Governing Board member of The Children’s Trust, a dedicated tax-derived revenue source serving children and families in Miami-Dade County.
Gov. Ron DeSantis named her to the post.
Castellano said she is “humbled” by the appointment, which follows years of government work at the Capitol and in DeSantis’ office. “Looking forward to serving … alongside some great community leaders,” she said.
Before joining Banyan in 2023, Castellano worked for years as a South Florida liaison for the Governor’s Office and legislative aide to Hialeah Gardens Sen. Bryan Ávila.
