Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava added 83 more current and former elected officials to her list of re-election supporters Thursday.
The new endorsement haul pushed the number of local leaders backing her campaign well beyond the 125-person mark.
Among her new backers: Surfside Mayor Charles Burkett, Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner and North Miami Beach Mayor Evan Piper, who together represent nearly 129,000 city residents.
Levine Cava said in a statement that she is “deeply honored” by the surge in vocal support.
“Together,” she said, “we will continue working tirelessly to build a stronger, more resilient and future-ready Miami-Dade.”
