Recent polling shows voters in Florida’s most populous county are far keener on Donald Trump than they were in the past two presidential elections.
A survey of likely Miami-Dade County voters found that the former President holds a 3-percentage-point lead over incumbent President Joe Biden.
That is within the survey’s 4.5% margin of error, but the finding is noteworthy considering more respondents said they voted for Biden (+7) in 2020. More registered Democrats (+4) than Republicans gave answers, too.
In 2020, Biden won Miami-Dade by more than seven points. Hillary Clinton took the county by nearly 30 points four years before.
