Scoring cities on various factors, two South Florida cities made the list for the top 25 cities throughout the country safest for trick-or-treating.
Miramar got a bump in the ratings for its lower rate of sex offenders per 100,000 people and high number of law enforcement personnel per capita. Pembroke Pines also figured in as safer than most because its statistics show less violent crime and fewer number of sex offenders per 100,000 people.
Neither city has anything to brag about for pedestrian safety, however.
No other Florida cities made the top-25 list that the national Chamber of Commerce commissioned.
