Hollywood Sen. Jason Pizzo had less than a week in March to raise money to defend his Senate District 37 seat before the onset of Session.
From March 1-6, Pizzo amassed $121,000 while kicking $25,000 to the Florida Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee.
His biggest gain was a $50,000 check from Publix. He also received sizable bumps from first responder groups, car sellers, property management companies and health care businesses, which together contributed $42,000.
Pizzo’s March fundraising haul, his largest take since January 2021, came less than a month after he was elected Senate Leader Pro Tempore.
