It’s not the usual eternal hope Miami Marlins’ fans enjoy in June.
Nearing the first half of the 2023 season – the first under new manager Skip Schumaker – the Miami Marlins have hit a groove that’s propelling them to their best record in more than a decade, the Miami Herald reports.
This season is the second-best start ever in franchise history through 72 games, behind only the 1997 World Series-winning team that was 43-29 at this point in its season.
The team stands at 41-31. That puts the Marlins five games behind the first-place Atlanta Braves in the National League East.
