Dolphins’ schedule could hold key for playoff run

Rookies reported this week for training camp. Veterans arrive next week for the Miami Dolphins. All of them have the same goal: to win the AFC East and earn a playoff spot.

Miami’s schedule offers some challenges.

The Dolphins open the season with back-to-back road games, one of only four NFL teams to do so.

The ‘Fins also face the second-toughest schedule, based on last year’s winning percentages. If they are to contend, they’ll earn it.

The good news is, if they start fast, they’ll have the benefit of playing four of five at home to end the regular season.
