Florida’s most populous county scored big this year at the National Association of County’s (NACo) annual Achievement Awards.
Miami-Dade received 75 individual honors across several categories, a haul Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said reflects the county’s “innovative spirit and relentless commitment to delivering excellence every day.”
Miami-Dade’s winningest agency was its Information Technology Department, which collected 25 awards including “Best in Category” for its Public Safety Assessment program.
Miami-Dade’s library system took 15 awards, the second-most of any department.
Nearby Broward and Palm Beach won 47 awards combined, including “Best in Category” for the latter’s Level Up youth mentorship program.
