In the early years of the pandemic from 2020-2021, Palm Beach and Miami-Dade saw more income growth than any other U.S. counties.
An analysis by the Economic Information Group (EIG) found Palm Beach’s net adjusted gross income grew by $7 billion, placing it first.
Miami-Dade placed second with $6.4 billion, followed by Collier County’s $4 billion.
Lee and Sarasota counties also made the top 10.
EIG economist Benjamin Glasner told the Palm Beach Post Florida’s dominance on the list is due to “wealth migration.”
“We saw a lot of people changing their work location,” he said, “without changing their job.”
