by carlislewillard

Celebrating the love that once dared not speak its name has the area awash in Pride events throughout the month.

At the Galleria, 2414 E. Sunrise Blvd., the historical society is putting on an event that is not your granny’s history event.

History Fort Lauderdale is presenting a photo exhibition, “I Am What I Am: A Tribute to South Florida’s Drag Pioneers.”

Forty drag artists will be on the Galleria’s Wall of Fame. The display spotlights Latrice RoyaleDaisy Deadpetals, Electra, Tiffany Arieagus, Nikki Adams and Cathy Craig.

History Fort Lauderdale was previously known as the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society.
