South Florida college basketball fans have never had this much to cheer about as two area teams have reached this pinnacle: the NCAA’s Final Four.
The FAU Owls, after dispatching No. 3 seed Kansas State 79-76, will be taking on the No. 5 seed San Diego State.
And on the other side of the bracket, the UMiami Hurricanes dispatched second-seeded Texas to go up against No. 4 UConn.
It’s the first trip to the Final Four either program has ever taken. If they both win their games and take each other on in the final duel Monday, heads may explode.
