The Florida Panthers are going back to their home territory for Game 3 Thursday, two games in the hole against their Stanley Cup rival, the Vegas Golden Knights – and they’ve fallen into their worst habits, the Miami Herald reports.
With any luck, it won’t be a repeat of the team’s one and only playoff performance in the NHL Finals in 1996, when they were swept 4-0. But the signs aren’t good.
The Panthers have racked up 110 penalty minutes in two games, Miami’s David Wilson reports. And right-wing superstar Matthew Tkachuk didn’t score Monday until the Panthers were doomed.
