Six more weeks for the boys of summer to land some postseason action and the Marlins won a thriller that’s surely going to boost morale, even from third place in the National League East.
The last game of a three-game series with the Yankees Sunday looked like it was going to be another heartbreaking loss. But then came the ninth inning.
Somehow, the team overcame a six-run deficit, winning 8-7 and the series with the Yankees. The Marlins’ 31st comeback victory also marked the largest deficit overcome for a ninth-inning, walk-off win in franchise history, according to the Miami Herald.
